Hello, this player is made by Kingzer in China. They have similar models with an extra USB-port and card-reader in the fron + s-ata support. I believe the newer models can be upgraded, but have no idea how or where the upgrade-files can be found. I have the model with just 1 USB-port. It works fine, I only had an issue with the power-supply (replaced) and the internal power-connector from the board to the HDD (fixed myself - soldered). I was looking to upgrade it so it can play MKV-files too, but I don't think the chipset allows it.

Hi. Maybe it's so late, but I just had the same problem : "no device".
Check the position of the jumpers on the rear side of your hard drive. Mine was put in slave configuration and the disk was not detected. Now they are put as master there are no problem at all, disk is detected and read files. PS. My hard drive is only a 40 GB and I created two 20 GB partitions under FAT32.

I had the same problem with "no disk" and setting the jumper to primary fixed it, thanks.

But it also is rolling on the TV screen. As if there was a horizontal hold thats not working. Has anybody else have this problem?
